You are so successful, why you are still not happy?

You are so successful, why you are still not happy?

Sebastien Bras has become a leader in the industry: The chef was named Michelin's Samsung restaurant in Le Suquet in southern France. This is an enviable honor.

But Blas hit the headlines in 2017 when he asked Michelin to withdraw Le Suquet’s Samsung rating. His reason was that when he knew that any dish that was not perfect would threaten the reputation of the restaurant, he felt that “enormous pressure".

The story of Blas may be unique in the world of gourmet food, but he may not be the first person to climb the top but found that the link between happiness and success is not as close as most people think.

Experts say that huge success is often accompanied by many unexpected "complications", some from personal relationships, and some from self-knowledge.

Mary Lamia is a clinical psychologist and she also writes "What Motivates Getting Things Done." She said that successful people often feel that they walk around with their goals - they are often not too far away from the goal.

"When you have a certain success, there are some people who want to achieve your accomplishments. They will no longer think of you as you - but will treat you as what they want." Lamia said, she added people sometimes get happiness by looking at the top people in the same industry.

Lamia said that in addition to recognition and conflict with colleagues and loved ones, those who have achieved great success will inspire some extremely negative emotions and fear that they will not be sufficiently exposed.

"I have talked with those who have been successfully destroyed - not everyone can embrace success with a good attitude," Lamia said.

Many successful people and industry leaders have used external pressure as a driving force to push themselves to a higher level. However, Lamia said that there are still people who will cause themselves to stagnate because of fear of failure. They may vent this frustration to their loved ones, and others may take drugs or alcohol, or simply give up what they once loved.

For those who have succeeded in nurturing healthy and unguarded relationships and using the fear of failure to promote their continued success, they still face an obstacle in the path to success. That is the constantly changing goal.
